Face Reading Moles

Although you may not like that mole on your face it can in some cultures mean something highly positive. In Chinese culture, moles on a woman’s face are respected and used in "moleomancy" or "face reading moles."

This is where you can divine certain aspects of a person’s life through the observation of their mole types and locations. In fact there are meanings for every mole around the body but the most popular sought after moleomancy is that of the face. Here is a brief look at face reading moles and what moles can mean around your face.

Philtrum

This is the vertical groove between your nose and the middle of your upper lip. This means you are prone to give birth to twins.

Bridge of the Nose

Unfortunately, this is a bad luck omen in particular for your husband.

Right or Left of the Philtrum

When you have a mole to the right or left of your Philtrum above the lip this denotes low self esteem. However if this mole overlaps onto your actual lip then you are a very talkative or gossiping person. You tend to have a very curious mind and ask probing questions.

Top of the Ear

If you have a mole on the tip or top of your ear this indicates a high intelligence or astute mind.

Ear lobe

Having a mole here means two different things. If it’s on your right side it can mean being committed and good to your family and often an indication of a good child. If it’s on the left side, you will obtain a good husband.

Lower Right Cheek

If you have moles along your right cheek at the bottom, in line with just below your nose, these can indicate emotional problems. It can vary what they mean depending on how far away from your nose they are, if it is close it can mean low self esteem, and further away means you are prone to self harm.

Lower Left Cheek

Moles along the left cheek just under the nose are also seen as bad luck for the owner, indicating low self esteem, arguments and bad luck for your spouse. A mole just above this in line with the tip of your nose but closer to the ear indicates longevity.

Forehead

If you have a mole above your left eyebrow it usually indicates good luck and a happy marriage. If it is on the right eyebrow it is good fortune and you will gain respect and a happy marriage. A mole directly between your eyebrows, just above them is a general blessing.

Eyes

Underneath your left eye is considered bad luck except if it is at the tip of your eye furthest away from your nose which means good luck. Any other location under this eye can mean sadness, bad luck for children and misfortune. Moles underneath the right eye are generally bad news and can mean you are prone to accidents by fire, gossip or sexual lust.
