Mole Remover
There are a few herbal remedies and creams out there that you can try out on those stubborn moles if you prefer using them before trying freezing for example. You may have already tried various other treatments with your doctor but they haven’t improved the situation. Either way there are a few things you should be aware of before trying a home remedy for your moles.
1. Salicylic Acid. Most of the mole remover treatments that contain salicylic acid are for warts and acne removal primarily and only certain moles can be treated with this chemical. In fact most moles should not be treated with salicylic acid and could result in extensive scarring if used.
2. Bloodroot. Some Natural herbal creams contain an ingredient called bloodroot. Watch out for this harmful addition to your cream. Bloodroot can come under a variety of names so look out for the names bloodwort, red puccoon root, pauson and tetterwort. Bloodroot destroys skin cells and forms a large black necrotic scab known as an eschar. Bloodroot is highly toxic and can be fatal if ingested. Unless you want to replace your mole with large black scabs and scarring, stay away from this ingredient!
3. Herbal does not always mean better. Natural herbal remedies do not have the same guidelines as medicinal drugs and ointments. Much like natural supplements which are merely considered as “food stuffs” by the regulating body FDA, natural remedies and creams do not have the same stringent process governing them. Always ensure you check the ingredients on any natural remedy. You can easily check them online for possible side effects and health hazards or consult your doctor before starting any new treatment.
4. Ensure you know what type of mole you have before undergoing any home mole remover treatments. If your mole is malignant you need to seek medical advice from your doctor as soon as possible. Signs of a skin cancer in moles include change of shape, size and color. Keep an eye on your mole and regularly check it for signs of change itching or bleeding. If you notice any of these symptoms go and see your doctor immediately to get it checked out properly.
5. Go and see a dermatologist first. We all have slightly different skin types that can affect what products are best for us. What works for one individual may not work for another and may in fact be damaging to you. Getting expert skin care advice is the only sure way to avoid harmful products and get a cream that is tailored for you.
6. If you know you are allergic to certain things, you may be surprised what turns up in herbal mole remover creams. Always check the ingredients before using any new treatment and do a test on your skin before applying directly to the mole. Wait 24 hours before trying the treatment to check for any signs of an adverse reaction. Always follow the in-pack guidelines for undertaking a skin test.
